FWC, city issues coyote alert

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has asked the city to pass on a coyote alert to residents in the area of Embers Parkway, between Burnt Store Road and El Dorado Boulevard, in northwest Cape Coral.

According to the FWC, a group of eight large, healthy coyotes have been identified as living in the area. While not usually aggressive or dangerous towards people, coyotes have been known to occasionally get into garbage and attack small pets.
