Lee Charter Review Commission meeting Thursday
The Lee County Charter Review Commission will meet on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. located at the Lee County Administration Building, 1st Floor Conference Room, 2115 Second Street, Fort Myers. The Charter Review Commission is seeking input from the public regarding any proposed amendments to the County Charter.
“We want to ensure citizens have access to the Charter Review Commission, and we want input from across the county,” said Ed Volz, who was elected commission chair at its inaugural meeting March 11.
The Lee County Charter Review Commission comprises 15 members appointed by Lee County Commissioners. They serve for 18 months with the purpose of reviewing the Home Rule Charter and proposing any amendments or revisions, which may be placed on the general election ballot.
