Salvation Army Shelters to open for cold weather
The Salvation Army of Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties opens its doors for men, women and children that do not have the capacity to find affordable and safe shelter.
The Cold Weather Night Shelter program goes into effect when the temperature will fall below 40 degrees (expected this evening). Lee County Emergency Operations sends a formal notice when the Cold Weather Night Program will take effect.
The Salvation Army can accommodate men, women and children. Men are sheltered at 2476 Edison Avenue, and women and children are sheltered at 2400 Edison Avenue in our Emergency Shelter Unit.
Guests are welcome to join TSA for a nutritious meal from 5 pm to 7 pm each evening as part of the Meals With Compassion program. Those needing emergency shelter will stay for a warm night of safe shelter.
