Club Fletchers’ a Cape hotspot

7 min read

The beat goes on and on and on in Cape Coral’s exciting new dance club in Fletchers’ Grille and Spirits, offering a wide variety of music from current pop to classics with a great dance beat.

Hot, classy and unpretentious, Club Fletchers’ is a hit for those of all ages and music for everyone who loves to get out on a dance floor and dance their cares away.

Club Fletchers’ is an event-driven center where special events and private parties can be enjoyed without crossing the bridge.

“I realized that Cape Coral doesn’t have a nice place where one can go to dance,” said owner Peter Look. “I actually built it as a place for me to go because like many Cape Coral residents, I like to dance, I don’t have a lot of money and I want a fun place to go where the drinks are not expensive, I can have a great time and I don’t have to cross the bridge.”

Look is a long-time Cape Coral resident and former owner of Pete Look Insurance. Originally, he purchased the restaurant and built Houlihans, which was a major player in Cape Coral for destination restaurants. When the market went down and many residents’ income with it, he didn’t want to have to pay the franchise fees and dropped the franchise to keep the restaurant prices lower.

“Around 9:30 Cape Coral goes quiet,” Look said. “I always wanted a place to go dance and still be in Cape Coral. When the opportunity arose next to Fletchers’ Grille In Cape Coral I jumped to fulfill my personal dream to have a dance club here. My better half, Tami Harms, is an interior designer. When I bought the building, I told her to design a place and she and I worked together to get the perfect design. I was amazed at how it turned out as I had never done anything like this. When we completed the building, I had a soft opening a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving and we worked out some of the sound and lighting to get to what we have now and to meet the vision and expectations that we had.”

Proud of how Club Fletchers’ stands on its own or compliments Fletchers’ Grille, Look said, “There is nothing else like Club Fletchers’ in Cape Coral and there never has been. Once everyone walks in, people rave about the interior and atmosphere – even I was astonished when I first saw it put together.”

The interior is set up around a large dance floor where lights and the Club Fletchers’ logo paints the dancers and floor as they dance away. Surrounding the dance floor is cozy booth seating against the wall and high top tables where you can perch to sit between dancing. The bar is a work of art – designed as a semi-circle around the stage, it is a great place to sit and chat with old and new friends. Directly behind the bar is an elevated stage for Wednesday-Sunday nights when live entertainment like Rat Pack, Johnny Cash and ZZ Top tribute bands play away the evening.

Club Fletchers’ offers options to fill your entire evening in Cape Coral without driving all over the place. You can dine in the warm atmosphere of Fletchers’ Grille and or walk past the outdoor patio bar into a totally different dining experience in the more lively dance area, where you can get a high top table or booth at Club Fletchers’ and order off the dinner menu or off the special bar menu. There is never a cover charge unless there is a show and the cost covers the charge of the entertainment. Special dinner shows cover includes dinner, reserved seating and the show. Club Fletchers’ is also available to rent for private parties and several celebrations have already taken place and more are booked. Don’t delay if you see a tribute band you like. The tribute nights in February and March are already taking reservations. On Sunday nights, jazz plays from 6-8 for those who love the smooth sounds.

The newly changed Fletchers’ Grille menu has an amazing assortment of choices for all tastes. Try the Chicken Satay Skewer, White Wine Lobster Dip or Stuffed Mushrooms for your appetizer or peruse one of the other delicious options on the menu. For those who want a lighter meal before dancing the night away, try one of Fletchers’ many salads like the Chopped Salad or Spinach Salad. If you really work up an appetite on the dance floor, try one of the three specialty steak dinners like the Fire Rib Eye, four specialty seafood entrees from Glazed Mahi to Twin Lobster Tails, five pasta entries like Veal and Sage Ravioli, Chicken Parmesan or the Vegetarian Garlic Portobello. Try Chicken Nachos, Slam Ki Shrimp or a choice of five flatbread pizzas, so you can grab a quick bite and head back to the dance floor.

Club Fletchers’ also suggest that you try one of their eighteen signature drinks like the Cape Coral Cooler, Fletchers’ Float or Sexy Devil. There are also ten specialty coffee and liqueur drinks like the Nutty Irishman or Mocha Kiss.

“As I have owned businesses in Cape Coral for many years, I have watched the evolution of Cape Coral with my finger on the pulse,” Look said. “After our downturn in the early 2000s, we needed to dine, dance and love again. What I see are couples coming out and dancing and enjoying themselves, whether it was a classic that brought fond memories of their youth to top 40 songs. Music brings you back to where you were ‘when.’ After the downturn that Cape Coral has had, I had so many couples come up to me and say that they wanted a place like this so that they could go out and have fun again, myself included, as I love to dance. I feel that we have done that at Club Fleltchers’ and I am very happy my dream was shared by so many who love to have a good time and dance without traveling far from their home or to another city to accomplish that.”
