Earnest Graham to lead Red Knights
Just weeks after announcing a pending change in leadership for the North Ft. Myers High School football team, retired NFL player Earnest Graham has accepted the appointment as the new head coach. A Mariner High School graduate and community business owner, Graham will meet with the current team and coaching staff in the coming weeks to begin planning for the coming season.
“I am excited about Earnest Graham leading the next generation of Red Knight Football,” Principal Dale Houchin said in a prepared statement. “He will produce outstanding athletes on the field and outstanding young men in the community.”
Graham often speaks openly of his commitment to community, stating at the All-County All Star banquet on Monday evening, “men, women, families and communities take care of their own.”
Graham will continue to run his private business and will work closely with assistant coaches employed full-time at the school to coordinate the team’s schedule as the Spring football season approaches.
