Armed robbery reported at adult video store
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday night at an adult video store south of Punta Gorda.
Just before 9 p.m., a masked man brandishing a handgun entered the Bada Bing Adult Video Store at 12205 Tamiami Trail in Punta Gorda and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a “white male, about 6 ft. 1 or 2 inches tall with a small oval-shaped head.” He was wearing a black hooded windbreaker with dark sunglasses, motorcycle gloves and a black and white bandana covering his face.
