Benefit bachelor auction Monday at Celsius Night Club

4 min read

For the second year in a row, the local Lewis P. Tabarrini Children’s Music Outreach Foundation will be hosting its hot, hunk-filled bachelor auction, taking place Monday, Feb. 11, at Celsius Night Club, 2213 Main St., downtown Fort Myers (formerly Envy), in Patio de Leon.

Twenty-five of Southwest Florida’s most eligible bachelors will come together in the name of charity for what is sure to be a night to remember that evening.

Up for auction will be gentlemen from all walks of life – including local musicians, athletes, TV celebrities and don’t forget the firefighters!

Last year, local rockers John Housely, Bob Tabarrini, Stet Howland, Jason Polly and so many others gave their bodies for the cause, helping to raise thousands of dollars that night for the local Lewis P. Tabarrini Children’s Music Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide instruments and lessons to children who are less fortunate and otherwise could not afford them.

Lew believed a boy or girl with a musical instrument in their hands is less likely to get into trouble. He personally provided children with their very first musical instrument.

The organization was founded by Lew’s children, including Bob Tabarrini of the local band A200 and one of the event’s featured bachelors.

“When my father Lew passed away, my heart broke and my world felt so empty,” said Tabarrini. “As I sat and reflected upon my dad, I realized that even though he was not a musician, he truly did love music. As a tribute to him, we have established this foundation to continue the heart and spirit of a wonderful father who simply loved kids and loved music.”

The community has shown love for the foundation in return by continuing to support the fund-raising events, which is to provide free guitar lessons to children who may not have the means to do so on their own. The Tabarrini Foundation currently holds classes at the Fort Myers Music Academy with two age groups: 8 to 12 and 13 to 18.

Treber Privatera, event coordinator, hopes the auction will help to spread the word about the foundation in a unique and playful way.

“With such an amazing group to help organize this event, I doubt that you would be disappointed. The bachelors are excited, ready and willing to participate. We have also gotten a lot of support from local businesses wanting to be a part of the event. The auction really offers something for everyone,” Trebor said. “The bachelors are very diverse, handsome, and each has a special quality to entice all eligible women.”

“Celsius Night Club, the premier venue in the Historical Downtown Fort Myers River District, is proud to celebrate with the Tabarrini Foundation a tradition of musical excellence and community leadership,” said club owner Kip Notbohm.

All ladies, 21 and up, are welcome to attend the event. A $5 donation will be collected at the door. VIP tables are available for a $250 donation. Doors open at 6 p.m. for a “Happy Hour Mix and Mingle,” including a two-for-one special on wells, with the bachelors before the bidding begins around 7 p.m. Several raffles will also be held throughout the evening.
