2012 Meet The Candidate Event set for Aug. 2 in North Fort Myers
The public is invited to meet the political candidates on Thursday Aug. 2, at Grace Community Center at a forum organized by the Community Affairs Committee of the North Fort Myers Chamber.
While the Chamber does not endorse any particular candidates or political parties, it does recommend that individuals, be they members of the chamber or citizens of the community, take the time to fully research and understand the complete facts on all sides of any issue that affects our community, our businesses, our economic growth and our quality of life. Having done that you will then be able to make intelligent assessments and take appropriate positions for the betterment of all.
To that end the Chamber presents Candidate Forums open to the public.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. to allow 45 minutes for a meet and greet with the candidates running for office and to pick up their election materials. This is a chance to become informed and talk about the issues one on one with the candidates. Lee County Elections Office will be on hand with information about voting and voter registration.
The candidates will take the stage at 7 p.m.
This event is sponsored by The North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce and The North Fort Myers Civic Association and Hosted by Grace Community Center, 4151 Hancock Bridge Parkway, North Fort Myers.
