Members ask: Make the Mayor’s Scholarship Fund part of your 2011 charitable donations
One way to show the community that you are proud to be a Cape Coral resident is to be part of our 30th Year “30 for 30” Celebration of the Mayor’s Scholarship Fund. Step up and support the future of our city by serving as a Scholarship Sponsor.
Next year marks the 30th anniversary of the Cape Coral Mayor’s Scholarship Fund. In September of 1982, a non-partisan, non-political, non-profit organization was formed to raise funds to provide scholarships for deserving Cape Coral students. In 1996 this organization incorporated, obtained a 501(c) (3) Internal Revenue Service status as a charitable organization and changed their name to the Cape Coral Mayor’s Scholarship Fund, Inc.,
The generosity of people like you have made these scholarships possible. Join a long list of committed local leaders by either sponsoring a student or supporting the Scholarship Fund by attending one of the various fundraising events throughout the year.
In honor of this auspicious 30 year milestone, the Scholarship Fund has set the 2012 goal to provide funding for 30 $1500 scholarships.
On Thursday, Dec. 8, the Annual Cocktail reception will be held in the Mayor/City Council lobby at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $25 and the public is welcome to attend. Please note remittance should be in form of a check or cash; credit cards are not accepted.
Once again this year North Fort Myers High School will provide the entertainment, with their talented string quartet. For additional information, please call 574-0437.
The Scholarship Fund provides for various levels of Sponsorship Opportunities which range from a $5,000 Title Sponsorship to a $1,500 Silver Scholarship. And, every contribution toward meeting the 2012 goal, and all sponsorship levels provide individual valuable benefits such as:
