Del Prado lane closures expected tonight
Beginning tonight, Nov. 3, through Friday, Nov. 4, motorists should expect southbound temporary nighttime lane closures on Del Prado Boulevard from Southeast Sixth Street to just south of Viscaya Parkway. These lane closures are necessary as paving crews will perform asphalt (milling) and resurfacing operations from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.
This work will temporarily impact access into business driveways and side streets. One southbound travel lane on Del Prado Boulevard will remain open at all times.
Improvements being made as part of this project consist of median access management (new left turn lanes and curbing), removing asphalt (milling) and resurfacing Viscaya Parkway / Country Club Boulevard west of Del Prado Boulevard to Nicholas Parkway.
Advance warning signs, electronic message boards, and barricades will be used to assist motorists.
Under Florida state law, speeding fines are doubled in the work zone when workers are present. Please be advised that inclement weather and other unforeseen circumstances may affect the construction schedule. Periodic lane closures will occur throughout the duration of this project.
