Cape gaming venue robbed
Authorities are investigating an armed robbery at a gaming venue.
At 12:19 a.m. Wednesday, Cape Coral police responded to 7 Sweepstakes, 428 Del Prado Blvd. N. Witnesses stated that three men entered wearing all black clothing, ski masks and gloves, while displaying handguns.
Two of the robbers took purses and cell phones from the patrons, while the third took the cashier to the office in an attempt to steal cash, according to a report. All three fled with the belongings and undisclosed amount of cash.
There were no injuries reported during the incident.
At the time of the robbery, there were five patrons at the venue.
