Local Rosh Hashanah services scheduled
Services will be held on Wednesday and Thursday for the Rosh Hashanah holiday in Cape Coral for all those who wish to attend.
The Chabad of Cape Coral will hold a service Thursday at 9:30 a.m., which will be followed by the blowing of the shofar and a luncheon. The services will be held at 4706 Chiquita Blvd., which is near Cape Coral Parkway.
“Our services are free,” Rabbi Yossi Lavkowski said. “You don’t have to have experience to come to our services. It is a very welcoming environment and very inspiring.”
The services at Temple Beth Shalom, 702 Southeast 24th Ave., will begin Wednesday as the sun goes down at 7:30 p.m. for the evening of Rosh Hashanah.
On Thursday, services will begin at 10 a.m. with a light luncheon and tashlich service.
On Sunday, Oct. 2, Temple Beth Shalom will have a High Holy Days Memorial service at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m.
