$7,000 worth of items taken from home
Nearly $7,000 in items were stolen from a Cape Coral home Tuesday, including a sorority pin, according to a police report.
Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 200 block of Southeast Eighth Place. A woman told police that she left the house that morning and returned to find her dog in the garage. She then found items were missing.
The stolen items include an HP Pavilion laptop computer, a Nook E reader, a pair of diamond earrings, a pair of ruby earrings, a pair of tri-gold earrings, a diamond ring gold with many diamond chips and an Alpha Omega sorority pin.
The items are valued at about $6,950, according to the report.
