$7,000 worth of items taken from home
More than $7,000 in items were reported stolen Tuesday from a home in southeast Cape Coral.
Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1500 block of Southeast Fourth Place at about 5:35 p.m. A woman reported that she left her home at 7:40 a.m. When she returned that evening, the front French doors were both slightly ajar and items were missing.
According to a report, the stolen items include a $3,000 pearl necklace and Dell laptop worth about $1,264, along with a purse and wallet, starfish and turtle bracelet charms, bracelets, a sterling silver cross, hoop earrings, an 18-karat gold charm, a Citizen watch, a 14-karat rope necklace and more.
A coin jar worth an estimated $250 was also taken.
