1 min read

The Lee Memorial Health System Foundation announces that the following Board Allocations and approvals are in effect for Q2 2011:

* $120,000 was approved for purchase of eight new Philips bedside monitors. The monitors are used to monitor pediatric patient arrhythmias.

* $78,367 was approved for purchase of a new neonatal Voyager transporter which monitors high-risk infants in travel room to room and hospital to hospital. The equipment also includes a ventilator for the infant. Funds for this equipment were raised through the Sanibel-Captiva Cares event in March.

* $31,903 was approved for purchase of a Servo-I infant ventilator. This new ventilator includes the latest in technology and features an “auto mode” which greatly reduces the strain on the lungs of high-risk infants within The Children’s Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Funds were raised for this equipment through the Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest.

Philanthropy and community support remain a vital part of lifesaving care throughout Lee Memorial Health System and its Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. For more information on making a personal, corporate or legacy gift, please call 239-343-6950.
