Free Tax Preparation Day Saturday
A Free Tax Preparation Day event will take place from 9 a.m to 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Joseph P. D’Alessandro office Complex, 2295 Victoria Ave., Fort Myers
All persons with incomes of $50,000 or below are invited to attend and receive preparation of their taxes free of charge. The preparation will be done by IRS trained and certified volunteers.
There will also be free seminars on banking and budgeting, foreclosure prevention and services to help families obtain food stamps, health information and much more. These seminars are designed to help individuals and families to keep more of their money in their own pockets and to ensure that families receive the tax credits that they deserve, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit.
This event is provided through the assistance of Credibility, the IRS, Bank of America, SunTrust, United Way 211, the Florida Department of Financial Services and the United Way of Lee, Hendry & Glades.
