Temporary lane closure set at Santa Barbara Boulevard and Southwest 28th Street

On Thursday, Dec. 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., motorists can expect a temporary lane closure of the northbound turn lane from Santa Barbara Boulevard onto westbound Southwest 28th Street. This temporary lane closure is necessary for crews to construct and pave the new turn lane at the intersection. Motorists traveling through this area are advised to follow the posted detours.
In addition, starting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 7, until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, intermittent lane closures can be expected at the intersection of Santa Barbara Boulevard and Veterans Parkway. Motorists are asked to use caution and to expect possible delays as crews perform signalization work at this intersection.
Advance warning signs, electronic message boards, and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area. While traveling through the work zone, motorists are urged to use caution, obey the posted speed limit of 35 mph, and seek alternate routes whenever possible. Please be advised that unforeseen circumstances and weather may affect the schedule.
