$30,000 in jewelry stolen from home
Approximately $30,000 in jewelry is missing from a Cape Coral residence.
Cape police responded to an apartment in the 4000 block of Southeast 12th Avenue for a theft Sunday, according to a report. The victim told police that she removed jewelry from her jewelry box on Nov. 28. When she returned the jewelry Friday, most of her jewelry was missing.
The missing pieces are reportedly valued between $25,000 and $30,000.
The woman told police that there had been no break-in at her home and she was positive that all the doors and windows had been kept locked, the report states. She added that no one had been in her residence except for a carpet cleaning company, and she provided police with the company’s information.
