Truck stolen from residents’ home

2 min read

A couple reported that their 2007 Dodge Nitro truck was stolen from their driveway while they were away on vacation.
On Wednesday, Jason and Kara Brown left their home, located in the 600 block of Southeast 26th Terrace, to take their little one to Disney World. When the family returned Saturday, the vehicle was nowhere to be found.
“His truck was parked in the driveway when we left,” Kara Brown said of the Dodge, which her husband used. “When we got back it was not in the driveway where we left it.”
The 2007 Nitro is valued at approximately $32,000.
“It was shock,” Brown said of their reaction. “Stunned.”
Their home had not been broken into and nothing else appeared stolen.
The Browns told police that the truck was locked and secured, and the keys were not left inside of the vehicle. The couple will press charges in the case.
Brown added that she and her husband plan to clean out the garage so both of their vehicles can be locked and secured inside of it for future trips.
“We recommend everybody have their cars locked in their garage,” she said.
