1 min read

Cape Coral police removed four marijuana plants from the courtyard of a city residence Monday, according to a report.
At about 6 p.m., police responded to a home in the 600 block of Southeast 13th Court for found property. Upon arrival, a woman informed the officers that she saw some plants in her courtyard and thought they were marijuana.
Police observed four plants, 2 inches to 5 inches tall, in a plastic bowl.
While the police were present, the woman’s son called. She told the officers that her son lives at the home and uses the courtyard. The son spoke to the officers over the phone, and stated that he did not know anything about the plants and did not know who put them in the courtyard.
The plants were seized and placed into property at the Cape Coral Police Department for destruction, the report states.
