King extends Towler contract to April 2
Cape Coral City Manager Gary King has extended the contract of consultant Bill Towler until April 2.
The new contract, which will pay Towler $28,392 should he remain with the city until its end date, will begin Nov. 26.
In his role as one of two “organizational effectiveness program consultants,” Towler reports directly to King. Towler last week presented a report to King and council that identifies possible problems with the city’s process of receiving and disbursing fuel.
The city has ordered an examination of its physical system of controls and the city auditor has said she plans to ask for assistance from the Lee County Clerk of the Courts Office, which has two fraud auditors on staff.
