Cole Bros. Circus ambassador visits Kids World Preschool
A Cole Bros. Circus of the Stars clown paid a special visit to Kids World Preschool Wednesday afternoon for a magic show.
Roy Dietrich, otherwise known as Professor Kno-Y, the ambassador for the Cole Bros. Circus, began traveling with the circus seven years ago to do magic shows at day cares and malls to get the kids excited about the Cole Bros. a week before it gets into town. He explained that he visits the various spots, so kids will become used to seeing a real clown because, “I may be the only clown they have seen.”
Dietrich spent about 45-minutes with the children at Kids World Preschool showing them various magic tricks, which included a few volunteers from the preschool to help him with his tricks. All of the children who were there to enjoy the show received a free ticket to the circus, which will arrive in town on Monday.
“I have one of the best jobs in the world,” he said smiling. “I thought I won the lottery seven years ago.”
Dietrich said he loves traveling to the different towns visiting with children because of their excitement when he is performing his magic tricks.
“You can’t beat that,” he said.
The Cole Bros. Circus of the Stars travels to 90 different communities in 20 states along the east coast from March until the end of November. It stops in three towns a week while on the road for nine months.
Cape Coral is the third to last stop the Cole Bros. Circus of the Stars makes before the end of the season.
The circus will be held on Nov. 22 through Nov. 23 at 609 N.E. Pine Island Road. The showtimes will begin at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. daily.
