Wachovia Wells Fargo supports SWFL Museum of History Education with grant award

2 min read

The Southwest Florida Museum of History Foundation Inc. has received a $2,500 grant award from partner, Wachovia Wells Fargo earmarked for education upgrades to its Education Center.
The Education Center hosts more than 10,000 students and 5,000 guests for camps, school workshops, homeschool classes, scout programs, special events, exhibit receptions, and meetings. Additionally, The Education Center welcomes many local groups, clubs, and organizations for meetings and events. In a building that is nearly a century old, the Education Center needed classroom equipment including technology upgrades to meet current presentation standards.
To meet the needs of the community, the museum applied for a grant to upgrade this well-utilized space. The addition of proper presentation technology is critical, as education is part of the Museum’s mission. Funding will be used to purchase a Smart Board system and peripherals.
Presenting the check to the Museum Foundation will be its newest board member, Todd Rinehart, Wachovia relationship manager. The check presentation ceremony will be held Tuesday, October 12th at 5:30 pm in the Imaginarium’s Learning Center with new Museum Foundation member, Todd Rinehart, Wachovia Relationship Manager. Rinehart will join Thomas Robinson, also a new member to the Imaginarium Group in presenting the Imaginarium’s award from Wachovia.
