Temporary road closure of Southeast 27th Street and Santa Barbara Boulevard
Beginning at approximately 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 6, through 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, motorists can expect a temporary road closure of Southeast 27th Street at Santa Barbara Boulevard. This road closure is necessary for crews to construct and pave the new lanes on Santa Barbara Boulevard at Southeast 27th Street.
Detour: Northbound motorists wanting to access Southeast 27th Street will travel north on Santa Barbara Boulevard, east on Kamal Parkway, north on Southeast Santa Barbara Place and east onto Southeast 27th Street. Southbound motorists wanting to access Southeast 27th Street will travel south on Santa Barbara Boulevard, east on Kamal Parkway, north on Southeast Santa Barbara Place and east onto Southeast 27th Street.
Advance warning signs, electronic message boards, and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area. While traveling through the work zone, motorists are urged to use caution, obey the posted speed limit and seek alternate routes whenever possible. Please be advised that unforeseen circumstances such as weather may affect the project schedule.
