McDonald’s hiring day, which was was held today from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., attracted 500 individuals, according to company officials.
The company is looking to hire a minimum of 24 positions, with the potential to hire more. The positions include full-time and part-time positions for managers and crew members.
Independent franchise owner and operator Tim Frederic said that between 60 to 125 people attended the event at each of the six McDonald’s locations in Cape Coral.
He said the hiring day was the initial interview process for the 24 positions that need to be filled. Frederic said he will begin reviewing the applications to find those who are eligible for a second interview to determine who will be hired.
He said the event went very well and they received a lot of great applicants. The applicants ranged from teenagers to those looking for a management career with McDonald’s.
“I’m lovin’ it,” Frederic said Tuesday afternoon.
The hiring day was held to get the six McDonald’s locations ready for the upcoming season, since October is usually when the snow birds start to come back into town.
A similar hiring day, held three months ago at just one location of McDonald’s, attracted approximately 100 people.
