Lee Memorial’s fifth Education Fair begins today
The Lee Memorial Health System will host its 5th free Education Fair today, Sept. 28, through Thursday, Oct. 1, at hospital locations.
Mike Polito, Human Resources Administration Business Partner, said it has been a very successful event in the past. He said typically about 100-150 people of all ages will filter through on a slow basis during the designated time frame.
Polito said they host the fair to provide their staff and volunteers, as well as community members, with the access to advisors from various colleges, universities and technical schools. He said it informs those who are interested in pursing or enhancing their career in the medical field.
Representatives from local colleges and some online programs will be present at the fair. Those colleges include Barry University, The College Network, Edison State College, Florida Gulf Coast University, Heritage Institute, High Tech Central, High Tech North, Hodges University, Kaplan University, Keiser University, Nova Southeastern University, Southwest Florida College, University Alliance, University of Phoenix and Walden University.
Polito said it is a great opportunity for individuals because when you have that many schools together you can ask all of your question in one location.
Advisors will be available between 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. today at HealthPark Medical Center Atrium, Sept. 29 at Cape Coral Hospital Auxiliary Meeting Room, Sept. 30 at Lee Memorial Hospital Auditorium and Oct. 1 at Gulf Coast Medical Center Community Room.
