Stewart signs employee agreement with Fort Myers Beach
Former Cape Coral city manager Terry Stewart has signed a draft employee agreement to become the Beach’s next interim town manager.
The action took place at Bennett’s Fresh Roast coffee shop, 2011 Bayside Parkway, just off of West First Street, in Downtown Fort Myers Thursday.
All that is left for Stewart to become official is the approval of the Fort Myers Beach Town Council at its regular meeting at town hall on Monday.
According to town documents, Stewart agreed to accept a base salary of $100,000. During the probationary period (his interim status), he will not recieve Town-sponsored health, life, long-term and short-term
disability insurance. The draft agreement provides an allowance for these benefits, worth approximately $26,454. The total annualized compensation package of salary and benefits is approximately $145,654, excluding mandatory FICA payments on his behalf
On Jan. 21, the Fort Myers Beach Town Council voted 5-0 to engage the services of Terrance E. Stewart as interim town manager.
