Governor reappointments include District 21 medical examiner

Gov. Charlie Crist has reappointed seven medical examiners, including Rebecca A. Hamilton of District 21, which includes Lee, Hendry and Glades counties. The governor also appointed two interim chiefs to chief positions Thursday.

District Medical Examiners appointments made Dec. 4:

· Rebecca A. Hamilton, 43, of Alva, chief medical examiner, District 21, reappointed for a term beginning Dec. 4, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

· Marta U. Coburn, 50, of Naples, chief medical examiner, District 20, reappointed for a term beginning Dec. 4, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

· Marie A. Herrmann, 54, of Ormond Beach, chief medical examiner, District 7, reappointed for a term beginning Dec. 4, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

· Riazul H. Imami, 75, of Port Charlotte, chief medical examiner, District 22, reappointed for a term beginning Dec. 4, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

· Roger E. Mittleman, 60, of Palm City, chief medical examiner, District 19, reappointed for a term beginning Dec. 4, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

· Joshua A. Perper, 75, of Palm Beach, chief medical examiner, District 17, reappointed for a term beginning Dec. 4, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

· Terrence R. Steiner, 63, of Ponte Vedra, chief medical examiner, District 23, reappointed for a term beginning Dec. 4, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

· Michael D. Hunter, 41, of Ramrod Key, interim chief medical examiner, District 14, succeeding Charles F. Siebert Jr., appointed for a term beginning Dec. 4, 2008, and ending July 1, 2010.

· Sajid S. Qaiser, 53, of Melbourne, interim chief medical examiner, District 18, succeeding Robert E. Whitmore, appointed for a term beginning Dec. 4, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.
