Northwest Spreader System Open to Boat Traffic
Cape Coral officials have announced that the Northwest Spreader canal has reopened for boat traffic. The canal had been closed while the city completed a dredging project to remove underwater obstructions following the removal of the Ceitus boat lift.
Boats now can travel freely through the system.
