Eagle Book Club service project underway
One goal of the Eagle Book Club is to share the love of reading to others. In that spirit, the club is hoping Pine Island Elementary students can create bookmarks for the Pine Island Public Library to distribute to their patrons in January in hopes of spreading the love of reading throughout the community.
Students can design bookmarks using a template provided. Let Mendy Nelson know if teachers are interested in having their students participate in this activity and they will receive a packet of blank bookmarks.
The bookmarks are due to Mendy Nelson by Dec. 18. In January, these bookmarks will be presented to the librarian at the Pine Island Public Library to pass out to patrons.
This service project is a way to spread the love of reading and kindness from P.I.E. to all residents on the island. Thanks for participating!
