North Fort Myers 12, Fort Myers 11: A dramatic rally in the bottom of the seventh has the Red Knights (20-7) making reservations for the FHSAA Class 5A championships next week in Longwood.

Fort Myers (22-7-1) tied the game 9-all in the top of the sixth, then took an 11-9 lead into the bottom of the seventh.

Abigail Hynes singled in Kelly Conley to get North within a run. With two on and two out, Mia Lane’s two-RBI double gave North the walk-off win.

It was part of a huge game at the plate for Lane, who was 2-for-4 with five RBI. Hynes had two RBI on the night.

The rally provided North with revenge against Fort Myers, which had upset the Red Knights in the District 5A-11 championship.

The 5A semifinals are Thursday, with the state championship next Saturday. The FHSAA will re-seed the four region champions before announcing the semifinal matchups.
