Phase 2 tentatively set to begin Friday on Little Pine Island Bridge
MATLACHA – The Florida Department of Transportation has announced the upcoming transition to Phase 2 of the reconstruction of the Little Pine Island Bridge. This transition is tentatively scheduled to begin the evening of Friday, May 9. Flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic through the transition.
When Phase 2 begins, all traffic will shift onto the newly constructed westbound side of the bridge, allowing two-lane traffic on the new bridge. As a reminder, motorists are asked to exercise caution and reduce their speed while driving through the work zone.
