Intermittent nighttime closures Wednesday on the Little Pine Island Bridge

1 min read

MATLACHA, Fla. – There wlll be intermittent closures on the Little Pine Island Bridge Wednesday, March 12, to allow crews to accept deliveries of slab beams to the worksite and unload onto the barge. There will be two separate deliveries on this day. The first delivery will start at 5 a.m. and the second delivery will begin after 6 p.m. There will be three trucks per delivery spaced 15 minutes apart. It will take approximately two minutes to stop each truck and offload onto the barge.

Flaggers will be present on both sides of the bridge to clear traffic in between deliveries to lessen the impact to motorists on and off the island.

Motorists are asked to exercise caution and reduce their speed while driving through the work zone.
