M/PIFCD responds to structure fire in St. James City

Just before 5 a.m. today, units from the Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District were dispatched to a structure fire on Courtney Road in St. James city. Upon arrival, firefighters found the structure was fully involved.

M/PIFCD officers reported that the structure was a total loss but there weren’t any injuries or other structures lost. The cause is still under investigation.

Firefighters reported using about 20,000 gallons of water and had 4 engines, 1 tender and 3 Comand staff on the scene.
