Pastor Hafer to discuss Food for the Poor program at Sunday service

Food for the Poor began in 1982 in Jamaica and today it is an interdenominational ministry serving the poor in 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
The ministry provides food, housing, healthcare, education, fresh water, micro enterprise solutions and emergency relief. Yes, at this time they are providing emergency relief to the hurricane and earthquake country in Haiti.
Come to the worship service this Sunday, Aug. 29, at Fishers of Men Lutheran Church on Stringfellow Road to hear the mission of the Food for the Poor for the poorest of poor in the countries they serve from guest Pastor Richard Hafer.
The church service begins at 9 a.m. and the church’s doors are wide open for everyone.
