Friends of the Pine Island Library honor Fran Mills
Friends of the Pine Island Library took a few minutes from setting up their semi-annual book sale at the Methodist Church to honor volunteer Fran Mills. The Friends had a banner made naming the book trailer “The Fran Mills Book Trailer.”
“After many, many years of hard work for the Friends of the Pine Island Library, Fran Mills has been the backbone of this event for many years,” Ellen Ballard said. “Fran sorts books all year long, thousands of them, and the trailer is always full to the brim.
“Fran also stores the books in her home garage and for this book sale there are about 120 boxes of books. She also sells book from her cart about twice a week at the library. We’re very grateful for her help to the Friends and as a volunteer to the library.”
