SJCCA Book Club to discuss Merullo book Nov. 14
Monday, Nov. 14, will find readers from the St. James City Civic Association gathered to discuss Roland Merullo’s “Breakfast with Buddha.” This is the tale of a man and the guru of his sister on a journey home that takes them to many different interesting places, each with its own unique flavor on the American landscape. It is also a tale of a personal journey with those big questions many have about life and death, meaning and futility.
The discussion will be led by book club member Gene Scarzafava. Appropriately enough, some breakfast munchies will be served, along with coffee and tea. The one-hour gathering starts at 9:30 a.m.
The SJCCA is located at Fourth Avenue and Lemon Street in St. James City.
All members of SJCCA may participate in the book club, and the group welcomes people new to the island as well. There is a $2 fee for members and a $4 charge for non-members. The funds are used to help keep the association building open. Membership renewals will be available.
“Breakfast with Buddha” is available through the library, also as an eBook, an audiobook, for MP3CD, and in hardcover and paperback.
