Koucky Studios to host Pottery Show and Sale Nov. 12
The Pine Island Potters Guild is kicking off this season’s monthly Pottery Show and Sale at Koucky Studios Saturday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Additional shows will held on the second Saturday of each month through April 8.
Each month Pine Island artists and craftsmen display and sell their handmade products in the courtyard of the studio. Some of this year’s featured mediums are: pottery, jewelry, hand-painted clothing, paintings, photography, locally produced all-natural cosmetics and soaps, garden art, gourmet vinegars and mustard, plus so much more.
Fresh baked goods will be available for a delicious snack or to take home for a special addition to any meal.
“I love the fun of chatting with like-minded artists and crafters as we show our wares and share ideas,” said Cynthia Welch of Witches Brew Vinegars and Mustards. “I always look forward to seeing friends and customers, old and new, in this tropical setting.”
Relax in the island-style atmosphere of the courtyard at Koucky Studios. Be sure to stop by and talk with all the artists about their products. Enjoy pottery demonstrations by some of Koucky Studios’ pottery students and inquire about the studio’s pottery class offerings.
Before or after your visit with the guild artists, stop by the award-winning Pine Island Tropical Fruit Market (only a block away) for lunch and enjoy its unusual selection of beautiful plants, flowers and fruit.
Interested in joining The Pine Island Potters Guild? The guild is always open to new members and there is no membership fee.
The spirit of the guild is to exchange ideas, techniques and experiences, and to participate in joint projects. Potters of all levels of experience are encouraged to join. Those who are interested in pottery, but who have not yet created any works in clay, are especially encouraged to come and talk with potters about this creative and varied medium.
