Bokeelia woman arrested for DUI manslaughter
Bokeelia resident Brenda Lynn Green was arrested Sunday and charged with DUI manslaughter in a July crash that killed a pedestrian.
According to the report Green was traveling north on Stringfellow near Marina Road on July 15 when she ran off the road. Her 2013 Kia Rio ran into a drainage ditch and went airborne striking 62-year-old Diane Frazee Luther. Luther was pronounced dead at the scene.
Green was charged with four counts:
Homicide-Negligent Manslaughter Vehicle (DUI cause of death to human or unborn child) plus three counts of DUI Unlawful Blood Alcohol level.
Green is being held without bond. Trial is scheduled for Dec. 12, 2016 at 8:30 a.m.
