Bridge is played two days a week at the St. James City Civic Center at Fourth and Lemon. Monday features the Happy Islanders Bridge Group (noon, members only). The SJC Slambidders play on Wednesday (12:30 p.m.), no partner required. Friday Night Bridge is on hiatus until September.

Monday, Sept 14 – Happy Islanders (A and B): 1. Bonnie Love 2. Barb Carrier (by a mere 20 pts.) 3. Dottie Kernaghan 4. Carol Clifford.

Wednesday, Sept. 16 – Slambidders: 1. Mary Tobias (her again?) 2. Clara McKnight (now she can stop complaining about bad cards!) 3. Joyce Coryell (always a threat!) 4. David Priest (partly because Lynne* took the bull by the horns and bid and made a slam with him – her first ever!) Slams bid and made: Lynne Smith* and David Priest.
