Champions announced from 2015 Mullet Toss

Several hundred people gathered under sunny skies and warm breezes Saturday morning, March 21, for the Matlacha Mariner’s 24th Annual Mullet Tossing Championship.

The competition began at 11 am with the children’s competition. The event took place at Matlacha Park and was sponsored by the Matlacha Mariners.

* Boy’s Fry Division ages 1-5 – Shawn Hager

* Girl’s Fry Division ages 1-5 – Samantha Thirion

* Boy’s Fingerling Division ages 6-10 – Gavin Mills

* Girl’s Fingerling Division ages 6-10 – Emily Swintak

* Boy’s Juvenile Division ages 11-15 – Brandon Bannon

* Girl’s Juvenile Division ages 11-15 – Laney Wood

* Men’s Adult Division ages 16-60 – Richard Bartz

* Women’s Adult Division ages 16-60 – Alea Sky

* Men’s Gray Division ages 61 + – Marlo Blount

* Women’s Gray Division ages 61+ – Patricia M. Connolly
