The Nimble Thimble Quilt and Needlework Guild of Pine Island Cove will host its annual quilt show and sale Monday, March 16, from 12:30-3 p.m., at the clubhouse, which is located in Pine Island Cove on Gulf Gate Lane.

The guild makes lap robes for chemotherapy patients, pillow cases for the Shriner’s Hospital and blankets for needy children of Lee County.

The show will feature more than 100 quilts and needlework pieces, which will be displayed on the walls and tables in the clubhouse.

Light refreshments will also be available during the event.

Members of the guild will be present during the show to answer any questions guests may have.

This year there will be three raffles to support the guild’s charities. The guild donates to the Pine Island Food Pantry and Pine Island Elementary School. The winner does not have to be present to win the raffle.

The quilt show began about 11 years ago to display some of the pieces that the guild created throughout the year.

The Nimble Thimble Quilt and Needlecraft Guild is comprised of 40 women who meet every Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
