Students receive Americanism Awards
The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 4353 presented students at Pine Island Elementary School with “Americanism” Awards last Tuesday morning. The students provided entries for a coloring contest and an essay contest.
“We are here today to hand out the awards for the Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades coloring contest and the 5th grade essay contest,” said Joyce Lake VFW Americanism Chairman. “VFW Post 4353 Commander Keith Keefer will be presenting the awards to each child.”

“I would like to thank all of the teachers who encouraged their students to enter into this program,” Lake said. “The work and this year’s turnout was amazing.”
