Matlacha Bridge maintenance starts Monday
The Lee County Department of Transportation will be performing bridge maintenance on the Matlacha Drawbridge beginning Monday, Oct. 20, and should be completed by Oct. 23, weather permitting.
There will be several bridge openings between the hours of 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and DOT will keep traffic delays to a minimum. Motorists and bicycle/pedestrians are advised to use caution while traveling in this area. Variable message boards will be placed to notify the public of this bridge work.
