Wounded Warrior Anglers held a fishing tournament for eight wounded warriors Saturday at Olde Fish House Marina. Each veteran was presented with his own fishing tackle and a day of fishing.

“Overall, the fishing was pretty tough,” WWA co-founder David Souders said. “Just at the end of the day, when the weather started coming in, did it pick up a little. Everyone had a great time though the friendships built in a matter of hours among these guys is reason enough to come out.”

Wounded Warrior Anglers of America Inc. is a nationally chartered 501(C) (3) public charity.

The organization was founded by David Souders, a wounded warrior, and Judy Souders, his wife and caregiver. The organization is dedicated to help rehabilitate the mind, body and soul of all service members who have been injured, wounded or disabled in the line of duty no matter what their era of service.

WWA’s secondary missions are to actively support the wounded warrior’s caregiver and their immediate family.
