Sunday Funday returns March 16

2 min read

Sunday Funday is returning to St. James City Civic Association in March. Last year the event was a huge success. Everyone who attended had a good time, socialized with friends, made new friends and many won prizes.

On Sunday, March 16, at the civic center (located at 4th & Lemon streets in St James City), from 1:30-4 p.m., there will be an afternoon of bunco, poker, dominoes, bridge and more.

There will be live music by Pine Island Sound from 1:30-2 p.m. while everyone settles in for the games and grabs a bite to eat. CDs of Pine Island Sound 3/4 time music will be available to members of SJCCA for $5 (a one-time-only deal, limited supplies).

Snacks will be provided (home-made chicken salad and cake, crackers). Beverages will be available for sale.

If anyone would like to donate items to be used for auction or door prizes, please contact Cindy Bickford 282-9478.

Get your tickets now, only $10. Call Cindy or see a board member.

PingPong: It has been a competitive season. Come on down to St James City Civic Center on Mondays and Thursdays, from 10 a.m.to noon, to join in the fun. Singles and doubles play, depending on the number of players. It’s $1 for SJCCA members, $3 for non-members (if you are going to participate in any activity for a few times, become a member and save money).

Pickin’ in the City: Enjoy the music or bring your instrument and play with the musicians on the 2nd and 4th Sundays in March at St. James City Civic Center. March 23 will also be the historical stroll. Pine Island Sound will be playing music from the early 1900s at the beginning of the stroll.
