Pine Island Art Association’s 42nd Annual Art Show and Sale Feb. 15-16

The passage of time has not diminished the wonderful Old Florida atmosphere that you will find at the Pine Island Art Association’s 42nd Annual Art Show and Sale, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 15 and 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show will be set up inside the Matlacha Community Building in Matlacha Community Park, 4577 Pine Island Road, just west of the Pine Island Bridge.
Don’t miss this opportunity to combine a visit to the PIAA Show with a tour of Matlacha. This historic fishing village that hugs the shoreline of Matlacha Pass has maintained the appearance of years gone by. The old fisherman’s cottages have become art galleries, shops, restaurants and fresh fish markets.
Each year the PIAA Show attracts Southwest Florida residents and flocks of “snowbirds.” You will find a large selection of landscapes, seascapes, birds, flowers, fish and wildlife. There will be watercolors, acrylic, oil and pastels painted by many talented and experienced artists. All the work has been professionally framed and ready to hang in your home.
There will also be a large selection of original mini paintings, 3 inches X 4 inches, all double matted. Carefully painted by the PIAA members, they are displayed alone or in a group. These mini paintings may be purchased for $10 each, tax included. Frame kits designed to fit the minis will be also available for $10 or $15. Framed or simply matted, they are a wonderful collector’s item.
