Pine Island musicians to be headlining Alva concert
The House of Prayer invites you to bring your chair, bring your family, bring your neighbors to the 2nd Annual Music Under the Oaks Free Concert on Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 12-4 pm. Donation of non-perishable food items to be donated to Bethany House Food Pantry in Alva is encouraged.
Back by popular demand, Pine Island’s Fish’n Tips will headline the concert performing old-timey bluegrass. Fish ‘n Tips – Bob Cullen (banjo), Peg Cullen (fiddle and vocals), Wayne Francis (guitar and vocals), Isabel Francis (bass) & Darryl Tison, (mandolin) are regulars every Friday from noon – 2:30 at Olde Fish House in Matlacha. Completing the bill at Music Under the Oaks will be Owen Feeney and Mike Kennedy of Naples playing acoustic rock ’60s through today, plus some holiday favorites.
In addition to the live music, there will be food for purchase including hamburgers, hot dogs, vegetarian goodies, hot popcorn, homemade sweets and beverages. Local artisans and authors will have displays of their work and gently used treasures will also be available for purchase.
