Vaccinations available on island
The Visiting Nurses Association of Southwest Florida will be at Fishers Of Men Lutheran Church, 10360 Stringfellow Road, St. James City, Monday, Oct. 21, from 9-11 a.m.
Vaccinations are covered by Medicare Part B. Cash and checks are also accepted: Flu – $25; flu preservative-free – $30; flu, high-dose – $50; and pneumonia – $65.
Shingle vaccinations are available by appointment only. Please call Fishers of Men (239-283-1170) by Oct. 15, so that the VNA can order it.
The cost for this vaccine is $250 and is not covered by Medicare. Some supplemental insurances policies do cover a partial amount; therefore speak with your insurance representative to see if you have coverage.
