Auditions for ‘Little Women’ a success
“Auditions for the play ‘Little Women’ went well,” Nichole Pichon said. “It’s always incredible to me to see how influential theatre can be in people’s lives. We have a tremendous cast and I couldn’t have asked for better people to work with.”
“This coming Wednesday, everyone in the cast is expected to have the show completely memorized and I know they are a bit anxious about that, but they are already doing so well!” Pichon said.
“Little Women” is a well known story read by most high school students. It was written by Louisa May Alcott and centers around the four March sisters: Meg, 16; Jo, 14; Beth, 13; and Amy, 12. The book is loosely based on the childhood experiences of the Alcott sisters. Alcott wrote the story after the Civil War and the play takes place during the Civil War.
“Everyone is very excited about the performances that will be held Oct. 4 and 5, at 7 p.m., at the Fishers of Men Lutheran Church,” Pichon said. “The performance will be free but donations are greatly appreciated and will help us be able to continue putting on free shows for the community.
“Our next production will be ‘A Christmas Carol’ and we will be holding auditions for in that early November.”
